  • There will be many sad ones when they learn of the death of Noah Deering, who died at his home April 9, 1911, and was buried at West Cemetery April 10, in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends. He leaves an afflicted wife and five children and many friends to mourn his absence. Noah was 64 years, 3 months and 28 days of age. He was my brother in the Federal army, and also in Albert G. Davis Post No. 76, G. A. R. We both officiated in many decorations of the veterans' graves, but he will be absent at the next. The writer (Rev. M. Judd) officiated at the funeral services with a sad heart. We have decided to have a decoration of soldiers' graves at the West Cemetery on May 30, at 10 a. m. We cordially invite Confederate veterans to join with us and have a union decoration. Brethren, let us hear from some of you.
