SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

  • John Tucker (18 April 1913) - Please advise the status of Mary Tyree's pension claim.
  • Tennessee Board of Pension Examiners (18 April 1913) - Need proof of marriage.
  • Bolivar. H. Gentry and Robert S. Gentry (26 April 1913) - Bolivar is 53 and Robert is 65. They were present at the residence of Mary's father, William Pippin in the 7th Civil District of Putnam County, Tennessee about the year 1876 or 1877. Their father, Merideth J. Gentry, who was a minister of the Gospel married Mary E. Pippin and Robert Tyree. The best that they can remember is that the Brassell brothers killed the Allison Brothers in Nov 1875 and were hanged in 1878. These parties were married between the killing and the hanging.
  • Mary E. Tyree (26 April 1913) - She is unable to furnish a record of her marriage, because the court house has burned. Please consider the testimony of Boliver H. Gentry and R. S. Gentry, sons of Merideth J. Gentry, the minister who married them.
