ABSTRACT

John H. Officer was accused of counterfeiting in the Overton County Circuit Court. Edward Elms became his security to insure his presence at the hearing. Both men failed to appear before the court. The state brought charges against Edward Elms saying that he owed them $1000 for failing to appear. Elms claimed that he was not notified to appear.
